Our care philosophy is as follows:

1. Ensure residents are provided with a warm, comfortable, safe and pleasant home environment.

2. Provide discreet professional care with respect for personal dignity and right of choice.

3. Tailor personal care to meet the individual's needs.

4. Arrange frequent opportunities for voluntary participation in social and recreational activities.

5. Enable residents to enjoy a higher quality of life than could have been achieved if the resident had remained in his or her home.

6. Ensure staff are trained and supported to deliver a high standard of care (Victoria House is registered as an NVQ assessment centre, and has also gained the Investor in People award).

Cuisine

Three meals a day are provided plus early morning, mid morning, mid afternoon and evening tea.  Refreshments are always available on demand and are free to visitors.  Frequently replenished fruit bowls are distributed throughout the lounges.  Menus are changed daily and offer a range of choices.   Special dietary needs are catered for.
